About
I empower people through technology.
I empower people through education and technology
I graduated from Emily Carr University in 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Film and Integrated Media Studies, and the Chancellors Award for outstanding Academic and Artistic Achievement. My lifelong passion for education and deep rooted belief in intersectional feminism get me out of bed in the morning.
An avid user of technology, I spent 10 years working in the technology sector, specializing in researching and writing educational content. I have since returned to academia, and I am now on a path towards a PhD in Clinical Psychology, specializing in virtual reality treatment for women with sexual conditions such as vaginismus.
Since 2013, I have sat on the board of the Power of Education Africa Foundation, a non-denominational Canadian charity, and registered Kenyan NGO dedicated to helping impoverished girls South Nyanza Province, Kenya attend secondary school. As Director of Technology, I design and manage our website, design all printed collaterals, speak at public events, consult on all technology needs, photograph and document our work, and periodically travel to Nyanza Province, Kenya to support our Kenyan Team.
